How it all started
Our history goes back more than 250 years, in the village of Janvry, in the heart of Champagne. It is here that our family has laid its roots and shaped its destiny around the vineyard. From generation to generation, a precise and instinctive know-how has been transmitted: the art of understanding the land, of reading the seasons and of letting the terroir express itself fully. This human and agricultural heritage is the foundation of Champagne Hamadryades, a house where tradition and modernity are moving forward at the same pace.

Growing vines is much more than a job: it is a way of inhabiting time. Every harvest, every gesture of pruning or care given to the plots is guided by a deep passion and by the desire to develop a sincere champagne, faithful to the personality of our Champagne terroir.

Our know-how is made of inherited gestures and attention to detail that make all the difference. The precision of the blend, the respect of the rhythm of the vine and the patience of aging on lees shape champagnes of expression, creamy and luminous, where each shade is the imprint of the terroir.

Each harvest has written a new chapter in our history. What drives us today is the desire to extend this legacy while providing a personal interpretation: creating a champagne of terroir, rooted in family memory but looking to the future.
Roots
Our roots are deeply connected to the land of Janvry. The vineyard, the forest and the landscape that surrounds us have shaped our identity. Le nom Hamadryades its origins lie in greek mythology: nymphs linked to the life of trees, protectors of nature. A strong symbolism that resonates with the way we work.
Vision
Our vision is simple: to produce champagnes that are alive, precise and inspired, while preserving the natural richness of the soils and the balance of our ecosystem. Each cuvée carries the strength of the terroir, but also the impetus of our approach: an authentic champagne, shaped with respect, patience and conviction.

Rooting
It all starts here, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Since the 18th century, the Martin family has cultivated an unbreakable bond with this terroir. Eight generations have succeeded one another, protecting and passing down this heritage from hand to hand.

Learning the craft
Back to the vineyard. After school, back to the field. By becoming a vineyard worker, I learn patience, the demands of the climate, and the language of the vine. It is during these years that the vision of our viticulture today takes shape.

The emergence of a vision
In 2016, our vision of viticulture fully takes shape. Preserving our terroir through respect for our soil will be our first major turning point.

The union of wine and nature
Vitiforestry and the creation of our first vintage
Convinced that the vine thrives in contact with the tree, we introduced vitiforestry. That year, our first juice was pressed. The birth of Symphonie sous bois began.
2019
Birth of our vintage
Birth of our Prélude en Sol Majeur vintage, honoring the resonance of our terroir.
2020
Exploring new horizons
We explore new horizons with the Au gré des chapitres vintage, vinified in stoneware amphorae, for a unique purity and mineral vibration.
2022
The “Hamadryades” signature
The fulfillment of a shared dream. With my wife, we give a name to our vision: HAMADRYADES. A tribute to mythology and nature, symbolizing the union of our ancestral roots and our commitment to living viticulture.
